Looe is very set up for dogs and is very popular with holiday makers who bring their dog away with them on holiday as well as day trippers.

Only 130 meters from Banjo Cottage on Buller Street don't be fooled by the small exterior of Looe Pet Emporium, it is a tardis of pet goodies.
Primarily focused on dogs and cats it has all of the well known wet and dry dog food as well as all sorts of healthy dog treats and toys.
If you have forgotten any of the necessities of walking your dog the Looe Pet Emporium has you covered with dog harnesses, leads, poo bags and dog coats.
If you need something for your dog to eat this shop has you covered.
The Dog House - pet shop
The Dog House is only 105 meters from Banjo Cottage. It is set back a bit between two jewellery shops. It is a relatively small pet shop in terms of items it sells, but it does cover off the basics of treats, leads, basic dog medicines and dog shampoo. It also has a dog collar engraving service in case you dog loses their tag while you're on holiday.
The Dog House - Grooming service
The Dog House, though a small shop, has attached to it a dog groomers, where there is a single groomer. Having used this service several times, we can vouch for the excellent and very friendly service that The Dog House provides.
Appointments can be made in the shop or over the phone and have good availability though in peak holiday seasons it will be much busier so booking well in advance will be necessary ( 01503 269251 )
The Dog House - Dog Wash
There are many different beaches around Looe that are dog friendly (though dogs are not allowed on the main East Looe beach at any time of the year). As well as beaches, there is also the East Looe River so if your dog loves water your dog is bound to get dirty.
Banjo Cottage has a butler sink that can be used to rinse off paws, but if your dog has got totally sandy or muddy then The Dog House has several dog wash sinks for hire. Everything you need to wash your dog is included in the price so your dog can emerge glossy and beautiful again.
The Dog House - Dog Day Care
As if a shop, a groomers and a dog wash was not enough, The Dog House also provide a dog day care facility for up to 10 dogs.
So if you want to go out on a day trip or just fancy a meal out without your dog, then The Dog House is the perfect place to leave your dog and you know they are in good hands and in good company with other dogs. With prices from £10 per hour for one dog or just £40 for a full day there is no reason why you can't give your dog their own play day.
If your dog is in day care for 3 hours or more then they will get taken for a walk out to Hannafore or Looe Second beach.
The day care is five star approved by Cornwall council and you need to provide all details of your dog I.e. vaccinations, microchip number and any special requirements.
